PRIVACY + SMS DATA PRACTICES

Privacy Policy

How Starlite Logistics collects, uses, protects, and handles website, onboarding, mobile, and text-messaging information. Effective and last updated September 8, 2026.

Starlite Logistics ("Starlite," "we," "us," or "our") provides carrier-side dispatch and back-office administrative support services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through starlitedispatch.com (the "Site"), our inquiry and onboarding processes, and our business communications, including SMS/text messaging. It applies to website visitors, prospective carriers, active carrier clients, and other business contacts.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three principal ways: information you submit directly, information created while providing authorized carrier support, and limited technical data generated when you use the Site.

  • Contact and business details — name, company name, phone number, email address, mailing address, and other contact information submitted through our forms or during onboarding.
  • Carrier and authority information — MC/DOT number, authority status, insurance details, equipment type, operating area, preferred lanes, and requested services.
  • Onboarding documents — business documents such as authority letters, insurance certificates, W-9s, notices of assignment, and other carrier records submitted for review.
  • Operational records — load details, rate confirmations, bills of lading, proof-of-delivery documents, invoices, status updates, and communications related to active dispatch or back-office work.
  • SMS and communication records — mobile number, date and method of consent, message history, delivery/status information, opt-in requests, opt-out requests, HELP requests, and related customer-support records.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, referral information, and pages visited, collected through standard server logs, security tools, and analytics where enabled.

2. How We Use Information

  • To evaluate carrier qualifications and service fit during preliminary onboarding.
  • To provide authorized dispatch coordination, driver communication, document handling, billing support, and related administrative services under an applicable agreement.
  • To respond to inquiries and requested follow-up submitted through the Site.
  • To send requested or consented-to business communications, including onboarding updates, service coordination, operational notifications, scheduling or document reminders, and customer support.
  • To maintain accurate load, invoice, settlement, consent, and communication records.
  • To maintain Site and account security, prevent misuse, diagnose technical issues, and improve performance.
  • To comply with applicable legal, tax, transportation, recordkeeping, and regulatory obligations.

3. SMS / Text Messaging Privacy and Consent

How consent is obtained

Starlite sends SMS/MMS messages only where the recipient has provided appropriate consent, has initiated the text conversation, or another lawful messaging basis applies to the specific communication. When our website form is used to provide SMS consent, the disclosure displayed with the form explains the messaging terms before submission.

Types of messages

Messages may include preliminary onboarding follow-up, requested service information, dispatch or load-related coordination, document reminders, scheduling, account or service updates, and customer-support communications. Any marketing or promotional texting will be sent only where the required consent has been obtained.

Frequency and carrier charges

Message frequency varies based on your relationship and activity with Starlite. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.

Opt out and help

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. After an opt-out request is processed, we will not send further SMS messages to that number unless you later provide a new valid opt-in. For assistance, reply HELP or contact us using the information in Section 12 below.

Consent is not a condition of service

Where applicable, consent to receive SMS marketing or recurring text messages is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing or receiving services. You may contact us by phone or email instead.

No sale or marketing sharing of mobile data

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing, advertising, lead generation, or promotional purposes.

4. Cookies and Analytics

The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to support essential functionality, remember basic preferences, help protect forms, and understand aggregate traffic patterns through analytics tools. These technologies are not used to sell mobile information or SMS consent data. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may limit some Site functionality.

5. How Information Is Disclosed

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose limited information only where reasonably necessary for the purposes below. The general disclosures in this section do not authorize the sale or sharing of mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing, advertising, lead generation, or promotional purposes.

  • Operational service providers — vendors that provide hosting, security, form processing, document storage, communications infrastructure, or similar services on our behalf and are limited to using information to provide those services.
  • Messaging infrastructure providers — telecommunications, messaging-platform, carrier, and related technical providers may process mobile numbers and message-routing data only as necessary to transmit, deliver, secure, or administer requested SMS communications; they are not authorized by Starlite to use that data for their own marketing or lead generation.
  • Authorized shipment participants — limited business and shipment information may be provided to brokers, shippers, receivers, or other parties when needed to coordinate a carrier-approved shipment. SMS opt-in consent is not provided for their marketing use.
  • Legal and safety requirements — information may be disclosed when required by law, regulation, valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or property.
  • Business transition — information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection and applicable law. SMS consent may not be repurposed for unrelated marketing without any consent required by law.

Starlite does not act as a freight broker and does not receive or hold freight payments owed to carriers.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, to provide services, maintain business and consent records, satisfy applicable recordkeeping requirements, protect legal rights, and resolve disputes. SMS consent and opt-out records may be retained as necessary to document communication preferences and compliance. When information is no longer reasonably needed, it is deleted, anonymized, or securely archived as appropriate.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information submitted through the Site and used in our operations. Safeguards may include access controls, role-based access, secure transmission where supported, account protections, and limited-access storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

8. Your Choices and Rights

  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable legal and contractual recordkeeping requirements.
  • You may opt out of non-essential email communications by using an available unsubscribe method or contacting us.
  • You may opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP. For SMS help, reply HELP.
  • If applicable law grants additional privacy rights, you may exercise those rights by contacting us using the information below.

9. Children's Privacy

The Site and our services are intended for business use by adults, carriers, dispatchers, drivers, and logistics professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 through our business onboarding process.

10. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party resources, portals, mapping services, or payment tools. Those third parties operate under their own privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies before providing information directly to them.
